The Story of a Book with Soul
It all started with a conversation with Professor Dr. Ioana Micle, my daughter’s pediatrician. She is not only a dedicated doctor but also someone who understands the importance of clear and empathetic communication with parents. That’s how I came to collaborate with her on a very special book: “What We Should Know About... Childhood Diabetes.”

The book has an informative and educational purpose, and my challenge was to transform complex medical concepts into accessible, warm, and friendly illustrations.
I chose a clean and gentle illustrative style, with expressive characters—whether cells, organs, or children engaged in everyday activities. I added playful elements like magnifying glasses, colorful transporters, and human-like expressions to help make the content easier to understand and remember for both children and their families.

This was a project close to my heart, one that showed me how much art can contribute to understanding, encouragement, and empathy.
I draw with care for small and grown-up souls alike.
