"Journey" — a futuristic sailing ship navigating the cosmos — is now available for sale in Switzerland. A bold blend of elegance, power, and imagination.
" My sculpture is called “Journey” and it represents a sailboat from the future—a vessel that does not float on ocean waters but instead sails through the vast and mysterious Cosmos. It is a blend of past and future, of dream and reality—an elegant yacht transformed into a spaceship.
I chose materials that express the ideas of resilience, elegance, and courage. The sail is sculpted from marble, symbolizing the purity of the dream and the bravery to move forward, no matter the unknown ahead. The body of the ship, made from granite, represents stability and strength, while the masts, made of brass, shine like rays of sunlight among the stars, giving the impression of an infinite energy that propels the vessel through space.
With this work, I wanted to express humanity’s desire to explore, go beyond known limits, and appreciate the journey's beauty—not just the destination. “Journey” is not just a sculpture—it is a symbol of the dream to discover new worlds, while still preserving the elegance and beauty of classic forms." - Dan Daniel

The making of
To bring my vision to life, I carefully chose a combination of materials that each carry their own symbolism and texture. The sail, sculpted from white marble, brings a sense of purity and timeless elegance — its smooth, luminous surface reflecting the light like a beacon of hope in the darkness of space.

The hull of the ship is carved from solid granite, grounding the vessel in strength and permanence, while its sleek form suggests motion and grace. The masts, slender and radiant, are crafted from polished brass, evoking both technological sophistication and the warm glow of distant stars.

For contrast and depth, I used black granite in select elements of the structure — its darkness representing the vast, infinite void of the universe, against which the shining materials stand out like a dream cutting through the night. Together, these materials tell a story of resilience, aspiration, and beauty reaching beyond the Earth.

The Final Art
The final piece is complete — a sculpture that blends imagination with matter. “Journey” is ready for you to experience and make your own.
