Specializing in hand-painted, reconditioned pieces, Carmen gives forgotten or vintage furniture a second, artistic life. Her works often feature floral motifs—particularly peonies—symbols of elegance, femininity, and renewal.

The Process
The process begins with a careful observation: I uncover its structure, materials, and the traces left by the years. Repairs are made gently, preserving the authenticity of the piece while restoring its strength. Layers of dust, varnish, or old paint are patiently removed, allowing the wood to breathe again.
Then comes the artistic intervention. I apply a primer, followed by a background color that lays the foundation for its new identity. The decorative elements come naturally, born from feeling, mood, and the way the piece speaks to me. Every hand-painted motif is unique, placed exactly where it belongs. Finally, I apply a protective layer of matte or softly satin varnish to preserve and enhance the beauty of its renewed life.
Everything happens in silence, with patience, and in the object’s own rhythm. I never rush a step, because I believe true beauty takes time — and soul.
