Assoc. Prof. Dr. Remus Rotaru is an associate professor and vice-dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design at the West University of Timișoara, Romania. He graduated from this faculty in 2002 and obtained a PhD in Arts with the thesis "Permanences in Graphic Arts."

As a graphic artist, Remus Rotaru designed the heraldic coats of arms for the municipalities of Giroc, Săcălaz, and Buziaș. He has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, showcasing his work in countries such as Austria, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, and Hungary. He has also been involved in various symposiums and creative workshops, promoting contemporary Romanian art internationally.
