About Me.
"His art continues to surprise and inspire, offering a fresh take on both abstract and figurative sculpture." - Robert Serban
I am a contemporary Romanian sculptor, born in 1978 in the small town of SăuleÈ™ti, nestled in Gorj County—an area rich in artistic heritage and just a short distance from the renowned sculptural ensemble of Constantin BrâncuÈ™i in Târgu-Jiu. Growing up in the shadow of BrâncuÈ™i’s monumental and poetic works, I developed an early and lasting fascination with form, space, and material—an inner calling that would eventually guide my creative path.

Before fully embracing the world of art, my journey took a more practical turn. I trained and worked as a professional welder in Greece, an experience that not only sharpened my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the expressive power of metal. That period laid a strong foundation in craftsmanship, which later became the springboard for my transition into fine arts.

Upon returning to Romania, I pursued formal art studies at the Faculty of Arts and Design at the West University of TimiÈ™oara, where I explored both painting and sculpture. I earned my Master’s degree in Sculpture in 2015.
My artistic practice is shaped by a constant interplay between intuition and technique. I work primarily with stainless steel, bronze, and other resilient materials, often blending their raw strength with subtle abstraction and emotional depth. My sculptures investigate the harmony and tension between geometric and organic forms, exploring symbolic and humanistic themes through a contemporary lens. Whether large-scale public works or smaller, more intimate pieces, my creations seek to evoke presence, movement, and meaning beyond their material nature.

Over the years, I’ve exhibited my work widely across Romania and abroad, and I’ve been honored with several awards
