Ilie Duță, born on June 28, 1982, in Pitești, Romania, is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in metal sculpture. He began his academic journey in 2008 at the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) in Timișoara, where he earned his bachelor's degree, followed by a master's and a PhD in visual arts
Duță's work is characterized by the innovative use of materials, particularly plastic and wood, as seen in his "Plastic Bees" series. This collection includes pieces like "Plastic Bees no. 2," which showcases his ability to transform everyday materials into thought-provoking sculptures.
In 2023, Duță participated in the "Urban Mythology" exhibition at the Temporary Exhibition Halls in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
His works are part of private collections and have been featured in various art platforms, reflecting his growing influence in the contemporary art scene.
